"Dr. Zoidberg - RIP Oppo" (thetomselleck)

One of the areas of my town I work by has this row of very bland plat homes likely assembled in the late ‘90s. It’s one of my favorite drives because one of the lawns houses a beautiful, wonderful vehicle that I lust for. I realized it has been over a year since I first laid eyes on this car... And it has not moved once. It hasn’t been washed in what looks like, maybe two years. The owner keeps his property mowed and landscapes around the perimeter of this designated lawn ornament. Here is a beautiful creature, taunting me, teasing me, and now I think it’s been long enough where I’m ready to initiate contact with the owner and ask if he would consider selling it.
I know it’s what I want because I haven’t felt this excited about a vehicle since I bought the longbed. I have a parking space in my garage that is lonely, and tools aching to be touched ever since I sold my Tercel.
Wish me luck.

Umm good luck?
Did I miss the part where you say what it is?
There’s a delorean around the corner from me that makes me sad too

The car in my neighborhood that I intentionally go out of my way to check on is a neglected ‘74-’76 Mercury Cougar XR7 that has been sitting in a driveway for the last few years. I haven't gone after it because I've got too many cars already. But if a for sale sign ever happened to show up on it, I'd be in trouble.

There was an STI wasting away at this woman’s house in the first neighborhood I lived at in Florida. It always gave me the feels, because I had to walk within 10’ of it everytime I went to the community dock.

hell yeah get after it.
I’d never buy the delorean, they’re slow and terrible to drive (I hear) but I still feel bad that it hasn’t moved in years and now has a flat front tire and is basically sitting on the rim.

I think every town or maybe even every neighborhood has a car like that. There’s an Impala SS a few blocks from me that hasn’t moved in the five years I loved here. It used to look mint ... Not so much anymore.
